What “beta” means here

Gitback Reviews works today — add jobs, collect reviews, run mid-job check-ins, capture lost-job feedback. A few edges are still rough, and your feedback shapes what we build next. It's free until we turn on billing, and beta users get 3 months free when we do.

The real problem

Your business has a blind spot.

Every service pro knows the feeling: you quote a job, go quiet, and never hear back. Or worse — you hear back six months later as a bad review you could have prevented.

  • You win a job but never ask for a review — your happy clients post nothing while unhappy ones post everything.
  • A client has a concern mid-job. Nobody says anything. Six weeks later it's a 1-star review.
  • You lose 3 jobs in a row to "went with someone else." Price? Timing? Communication? You'll never know.
  • You keep quoting the same way, adjusting nothing, because you have no data — just gut instinct.
“My response time was the issue — not my price. I lost four jobs in one month before I finally asked a client directly why they went with someone else. I had no idea.”
— Home inspector, 8 years in business

How Gitback Reviews works

Every customer lives in one of three states.

Gitback Reviews meets them where they are — and turns every interaction into something you can use.

Won

The job is done.

Turn satisfied clients into public proof.

Gitback Reviews automatically sends every client the same review invitation — on your timeline, not when you remember. They choose where to post: Google, Yelp, Facebook. Or they can send it privately just to you. Your best clients become your best marketing.

In Progress

The job is active.

Catch small issues before they go public.

A short mid-job check-in surfaces the small concerns clients never mention in person — timing issues, communication gaps, minor scope questions. You get a chance to resolve it before it becomes a public complaint. Small saves, no surprises.

Lost

They went with someone else.

This is where most tools stop. Gitback Reviews starts.

A respectful follow-up asks what happened — price, timing, fit, or something you can actually fix. The client feels heard. You get an honest answer you can act on. And sometimes you get a second chance on the next job.

Christy Runnion, founder of Gitback Reviews, in the field

Crawlspaces, site visits, and lost bids — been there.

From the founder

I built Gitback Reviews because I kept losing jobs and not knowing why.

After years running a field business, I noticed a pattern: the tools we had were built to celebrate wins. Review platforms, CRMs, marketing software — all of it assumed you were closing every job. Nobody built anything for the other half.

I started keeping a notebook of every job I lost and why — when I could get an answer. Most of the time I couldn't. Clients don't call you back to explain themselves. But when I finally started following up in a low-pressure way, the responses changed everything. I was pricing myself wrong. I was slow to respond on Tuesdays. I was losing repeat business because I never asked for it.

Gitback Reviews is that notebook, automated. Built for people who run real field businesses — inspectors, engineers, contractors, architects, consultants.

Questions, answered

The stuff field pros actually ask before they sign up.

Will clients actually respond to a “why did you go with someone else” message?

More than you'd expect. The message is short, respectful, and gives them an easy out. You won't get 100% response rates, but you'll get enough honest answers to spot patterns in why you're losing jobs.

Is this going to feel spammy or robotic to my clients?

No. Every message is written to sound like it came from you, not a marketing platform — short, human, no pushy language, no five-star emoji. If a message ever reads wrong, tell me and I rewrite it. That's part of what beta is for.

Do I have to integrate this with my CRM or scheduling software?

Not unless you want to. Add a job in 30 seconds with a name, contact info, and whether it's won, active, or lost. Gitback Reviews handles the rest. Integrations are on the roadmap; the product works standalone today.

Is it “Gitback” or “Getback”?

It’s Gitback — with an “i”. Same idea (get back to the customer, get back the lost lead) spelled to be its own word. If you typed “getback reviews” or landed here from getbackreviews.com, you’re in the right place.
